Back in Black!

After struggling at times in the Fall, the 5OC will be reborn.
NEWPORT NEWS, VA - It's official. The 5 O'Clockers will be returning for the Spring 2011 WAKA VA Peninsula season, team captain Britney Travis announced today.

The 5 O'Clockers have played consecutive seasons in VA Peninsula since the spring of 2008. During this time, they have played more games than all but two franchises, have gone 48-19-5, made the finals four times, and took home the prestigious Wentworth Trophy in the Fall of 2008. There was doubt as to whether or not they would return for the Spring 2011 season however, after struggling under the name GTK to earn a 6-5-1 record and having their trademark color black jerseys "stolen" by The Emperors Club.

Upon announcing the return of the Clockers, the commissioner's office has confirmed that they will be assigned Black once again.

Jeff Pauley is among four 5OC players currently on loan with
the VIPs competing in the WAKA VA Recess League.
"The real black team is back!" Coach Travis exclaimed.

When asked how they intend to get back to their former championship form, charger Jeff Pauley said, "...We are gonna get back to our roots. Meaning we are going to win, talk a lot of trash, and be hated."

So can we expect to see any surprises from the Clockers?

"We shall see!" said Travis.

The Peninsula just wouldn't be the same without the Clockers. So, it'll definitely be good to see them "Back in Black"
