Peninsula Teams Winless at VBKO

It was a tough morning for JFK and The Emperors Club on Saturday, as both teams went 0-4 in pool play and failed to make it to the single elimination round.

Just For Kicks arguably had the toughest schedule out of any team in the tournament, with games against both of the top seeds in the tournament (Panik Attack and Fully Loaded).

Fully Loaded (Florida) 12, JFK 0
Other Shot Callers (DC) 5, JFK 0
Victory in Da Feet (Norfolk) 3, JFK 0
Panik Attack (Virginia Beach) 10, JFK 0

Although JFK failed to score a run while losing each game, Coach Bryan Freed said, "This was a great learning experience. Most of our players had never seen kickball played at this level, so we have a lot to take away and bring back to the Peninsula."
Dr. Jeremy Pinier takes off from 1st against PJ Jones and ViDF.

In the other pool, The Emperors Club had a similarly tough draw. They managed to play their teams a bit closer than JFK did, but failed to score an upset.

Back In Black (Norfolk) 6, VIPs 4
The Situation (Virginia Beach) 2, VIPs 0
NY Shower Hammers (NYC) 4, VIPs 1

"It seemed we just had a couple of mistakes in each game that cost us." the VIP's Brent Wentworth (3rd Person Alert!) said afterwards, "With some more practice, I know we'll be ready for the DC tournament in July."

The VIPs count how many wins they had on Saturday.
Other VBKO Notes: Victory in Da Feet, a team based in Norfolk that features many members of Vicious & Delicious went 1-3 in pool play, after falling short in several close games... The tournament was won by Virginia Beach's Panik Attack. JFK's JC Cashwell pitched in the final game for the champions and dominated the opposition.
Chris "Bundy" LeBlanc kicks away.
