VA Patriot Draft Recap

For the first time ever in Virginia, a kickball league held an open draft. Seven pairs of captains built their teams from the 101 players signed up in the VA Patriot Express draft pool. There were lots of cheers and applause as Commissioner Morehart announced each pick. JFK's Eric Stevens was the first player chosen overall by Crushing On You captains Manny Anderson and Crystal Tanner. The first female player, Katie Litle, was selected in the 2nd round by Crushing. All in all, it was a fun way to kick off what promises to be a memorable summer season of WAKA Kickball!
