WAKA Hampton Roads - Week in Review (7.27.2014)

We've had a ton of cool stuff going on lately. So much so, that it can be tough to keep up with it all. So, I had an idea for a new feature called the WAKA Hampton Roads Week in Review. Each week or so, I'll post a round up of all the news and info from around VA Patriot, Freedom, Peninsula, Raptor, and more!

• WAKA announces the hiring of Fagel Baer as the brand new Social Coordinator for Hampton Roads! She'll be planning our parties, theme weeks, and special events for Freedom and Peninsula beginning this Fall. Right off the bat, she announces the details for the VA Patriot End of Season Party / Fall Meet N Greets!
•  VA Patriot completed week 3. 4 teams have yet to lose a game and are jockeying for position for the "Bowl" games coming up on August 6th. On the blog, we posted the updated league statistical leaders.
• Brad Kirby was mysteriously banned from posting in Facebook groups for 10 days. We did the mature thing and started a thread dedicated to dragging his good name through the mud.
• The Trading Card fundraiser for the WAKA Kicks Cancer Relay For Life team is going strong. We're up over $300 raised! Be sure to bring your cash on Wednesday as more cards will be on sale.
• VA Peninsula announced that the league has met team capacity at 18, which prompted several players from teams that didn't get in to flood Facebook with their kickball resumes (literally). We also took a look at some of the new teams who will be playing with us on Wednesday nights. 
• The Spring VA Peninsula Customer Satisfaction Survey results were released. 88% of the 50 respondents rated their overall experience an 8 or better.
• The Big Green Buddie's Will Reddy proposed to Alyssa Stoner. She said 'yes'!
