One Two Three, Peter Paul and Mary...

As I was doing this post, I started singing this Britney song...because it's one, two, three...

So,

In my 6 seasons (WTF??? ...time flies) of kickball, have never been so excited to start a season! Why you ask? Because this is the first full season completely planning the parties and fully immersing myself into the social-ness of this league. And I am so stoked. So with that said, I have a few big announcements:

To kick off this initial week of kickball, I wanted to announce an ongoing bar challenge that will commence this week,and come to a glorious end during a surprise feature at the #EOS (that's hashtag for End Of Season). I'd really like to focus on our amazing volunteers this season; the refs, the captains, the stat-keepers, the First Responders to the field - you'll get that reference below.

BIG Announcement #1
The #BarChallenge this week will be to socialize with, by drinks for, and take photos of the referees of your game - or any game for that matter tomorrow. Track down as many refs as you can from the games tomorrow and promote the hell out of what they do. The stat keepers will be recording who refs each game - tomorrow and for all of the games this season, which leads into...

BIG Announcement #2
I am super pumped to announce that we will be hosting our very own, red carpet, PLAs: Peninsula League Awards, where some very important awards will be distributed. One of which will include Referee of the Year ^^based on the above scientifically established calculations. If you have suggestions for awards to be distributed, or are interested in helping with this event, please let me know. I'm so excited to be recognizing the talent that this league has off the field as well.

BIG Announcement #3
Speaking of parties, I am SO FREAKING EXCITED for our #MSP (that's hashtag for Mid Season Party)!!! So, because I love the Real Housewives of NJ and because I'm capable of making really great puns (see First Responders reference above) the theme of this #MSP is just that:

First Responders

• When: October 4th - Time: TBD
• Where: Stillwater Tavern
• What: Beer on tap, signature drinks, and a damn good time
• Wardrobe: dress up as a firefighter, cop, first aid kit, bandaid, FBI, or teacher - the first responder to the front lines of education... ref: #3U3D
• What next: Attend the facebook event to be on the list of first receivers....
