I'm a goober and I LOVE conferences. I like being one of hundreds of people all sharing the same work/morals/hobbies/background. I like going to a touristy hotel and taking over. I like nametags and matchy shirts that make people want to ask you what on earth you're here for. But most importantly I like going to conferences that inspire me to continue, and make me proud of what I've done.
Doesn't sound like I should be talking about Vegas right? But after being around hundreds of kickballers from all over the US, I had to say how awesome this league (which also includes VA Freedom) is. Seriously.

Tips for living the #WAKAvegas lifestyle
- #hashtag E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.
- party until 3:00 AM...even if you're sick
- shwag means everything to you
- theme parties and costumes are the meanings of life
- make fireball your go-to drink
- introduce yourself to everyone, even if you haven't met them yet
So last week we bid farewell in our #sitchsendoff, let's turn it around and say hello to some new people and hashtag it up!
The bar challenge tomorrow will be one of my favorites:
- Take a picture with the following kinds of people and post it to any social media using #WAKAvapeninsula
- Someone has played on #WAKAvapeninsula for over 10 season
- Someone who is new to WAKA
- And someone who isn't playing with WAKA at all
Seriously this league and the people are amazing, and I can only hope to make it so much better! I hope everyone gets the opportunity to get as re-obsessed with WAKA as I did, but in the meantime, let's live it up WAKA style!
And now this #barbelt is going to the Situation. For representing WAKAvapeninsula so well in a sea of hundreds of other kickballers. For being a name that is known to everyone, nationally, and for bringing so much glory home to this humble league of ours.
And Breaking Brad and Hot Dogs and Tacos, y'all never fail to represent at the bar. Teams like you keep me thriving and looking for the next curveball!
