WAKA VA Peninsula Results (11.5.2014)

Interventions 4, Kick in a Box 0
Bez Kargar's first inning triple drove in Dom Guarry and Bryan Freed. It was all the runs they'd need, as the Interventions defense shut down KiaB.
Players of the Game: Bryan Freed (2/2, R); Dom Guarry (2/2, R); Will Menzies (2/2, RKI)

Heads 13, Hotdogs & Tacos 2
The Heads offense was firing all cylinders, kicking safely 22 times.
Players of the Game: Brent Wentworth (3/3, 2B, 2 R, 2 RKI -- straight ballin'); Emily Cook (2/3, 3B, 2 R, 2 RKI); Jamie LaCrosse (1/1, 3 RKI, 2 SAC)

The Situation 9, Boom 2
The Situation took advantage of some Boom bobbles and slips to put four runs up in the first inning. The night didn't get much easier for the Boomers. The Situation put another 4 runs across in the 3rd inning.
Players of the Game: Jeremy Edge (2/2, 2 R); David Baum (2/2, 2B, 2 R, RKI); Gene Efird (1/1, 2B, R, 3 RKI)

Breaking Brad 5, Resting Pitch Face 3
Resting Pitch Face was abe to consistently get runners on base, but the Breaking Brad defense would not allow a big inning, forcing 4 fielders choice outs in the contest. Offensively, Ian Fluke drove in 4 runs (at least I think so. Hard to tell from the stat book, so we're just going to go with it) in the win.
Players of the Game: Ian Fluke (2/2, 2B, 4 RKI); Mike Mallozzi (3/3, 3 R); Laurel Manges (2/2, 2B, R, RKI)

Hammers 12, Foul Balls 2
Without ace pitcher Mark Flores, the Foul Balls had few answers for the potent Hammer lineup. The top particularly had their way, going a combined 15/16 and accounting for 10 out of the Hammers 12 runs.
Players of the Game: Ricky Holmes (2/2, BB, 3 R); Alex Jackson (3/3, R, 4 RKI); Brian Neal (2/3, 2 2B, 2 R, 2 RKI)

Chaotic KILFs 2, Fireballs 1
Both defenses were in the zone between these two orange hued competitors. Base runners were hard to come by, but Chris Storar and Josh Seidnitzer managed to come across the plate for the KILFs in the 1st. That's all the runs the Chaotic ones would get on Wednesday, but it was all they needed.
Players of the Game: Chris Storar (2/2, 2B, R); Josh Seidnitzer (1/2, 3B, R, RKI)

Kick Pitches Get Money 5, Recess Rejects 1
The women of KPGM continue to impress week after week. Mary Kennedy had a pair of singles and drove in 2 runs to lead the Money Team to the W.
Players of the Game: Mary Kennedy (2/2, 2 RKI); Nikoli Rosinski (2/2, 2 R); Joe Conway (2/2, R)

Rumspringa 4, Hey We're KILFs2 1
Matt Wellbrock kicked a 2 out double to drive in a pair of runs and give Rumspringa a 3-0 lead. The 'Springa defense was stout, allowing only 3 KILFs to successfully reach base.
Players of the Game: Matt Wellbrock (1/1, 2B, 2 RKI); Brian Yohn (2/2, 2B, RKI); TJ Buffington (1/2, 3B, RKI)

Sneak Attack 10, Ballsagna 0
A short handed Ballsagna squad was outgunned by the Sneakers. Aaron Bobby Kippes particularly went off, going 3 for 3, scoring 3 runs, and driving in 2 in the romp.
Players of the Game: Aaron Kippes (3/3, 2B, 3 R, 2 RKI); Kyle Lewis (2/2, 2B, R, 2 RKI, BB); Julia Hernandez (2/2, 2 R)
