VA Peninsula - End of Season Details

It's been a wonderful spring season and now the stage is set. This weekend we will crown a champion and party our faces off!

First, let me congratulate Bizarro on earning the regular season championship and wish all of the players who could not make this weekend luck up in their DC tourney. We will miss you on Saturday.

Schedule
We have 11 teams that will be competing for the prestigious Wentworth Trophy® Saturday at Gosnolds Hope Park in Hampton (directions). The schedule is set:

A couple of notes / reminders

• There is no RPS for the tournament. The team with the higher seed is given the choice of home or away.
• We do not enforce time limits in the EoS, because we want every game to have a clear winner before advancing. However, we do ask that you respect other people's time, avoid unnecessary delays, and help keep the tourney running on schedule.
• The mercy rule is automatic in the playoffs. If at any point past the 3rd inning, a team is down by 12 runs or more, the game is over and the winning team advances to the next round.
• Please be mindful of your reffing assignments stated above. For the later rounds, we are asking for volunteers to help. For everyone who refs the semis and finals, I am happy to provide you with a coupon code for a discount on Fall registration! Your help is greatly appreciated and critical to a great day of kickball! Let me know if you are willing to help.
• If there are any ties after 5 innings, extra innings will commence under 'Kansas City' rules. 4 males/4 females on defense. Runner starts on 2nd base. For more information, please refer to the official WAKA League Tournament Guidelines.
