WEEK 6
LAST REGULAR SEASON GAMES
With what was expected to be torrential conditions, I didn't get a chance to bring the camera out this week. Good news is that the rain held off outside of the torrential downpour for about 20 minutes of the 3 PM games. I appreciate everyone working with us and getting the games in. Weather's been a bit of a challenge this season.
HOUSEKEEPING ISSUES:
- Playoffs begin this week. If the game ends in a tie, we will go straight to Penalty Kicks, so start thinking about who your five kickers are going to be.
- Signups for the Fall season will begin right as our season ends. From the sound of it, we're going to have a lot more teams interested in playing, so be sure to sign up quickly to reserve your team's spot.
- The Golden Boot, the Golden Gal, and any other awards we come up with will be given out after the games on June 17th, 2018. Hoping everyone can come out to Oozlefinch and celebrate the champion and some of the award winners.

WEEK 6 RESULTS AND STANDINGS
AND HERE ARE THE END OF THE SEASON STANDINGS!
PLAYOFF TIME!
Based on the above standings, here is the playoff bracket for 6/10 and 6/17. Some exciting matchups are on the horizon.
TEAM OF THE WEEK - WEEK 6
Jessica Huntington - After starting hot, Jessica's scoring pace cooled off a bit but she finished strong against one of the best teams in the league scoring 2 against Look Ma, No Hands.
Jay McCormick - HAT TRICK! Jay braved the torrential downpour to put three in for Oozlekicks to help them secure the 5 seed going into the playoffs.
Kristina Cors - Kristina has quietly scored 5 goals this season and put in a hat trick against Hot and Messi. As a midfielder that pushes up, she's the epitome of a calm finisher.
Brendan Fajotina - The Brendan/Daryl show continues for Netkicks. This time with Brendan putting in 3 and Daryl putting in 2. Netkicks will be a tough out in the playoffs.
Kevin Rhamy - In a fight in the rain, Kevin hit a volley past the best keeper in the league. Quality finishes will push you into the Team of the Week every time.
Derek Pizzo - Despite being understaffed, Hot and Messi put up a lot of fight and Derek was a key part of that. No subs, but still all over the place trying to create offense and track back on D.
Joe Ingraham - Joe made some incredible saves during the Ronaldo McDonaldo game. Wasn't able to watch the Moat Monsters game, but the rumor mill says the Look Ma No Hands keeper made a number of key saves.
THE RACE FOR THE GOLDEN BOOT
Players were guaranteed 8 games, so we'll be finalizing the Golden Boot race after tomorrow. Currently Chad Martin leads with 14 goals with Michael Machie of Ronaldo right on his heels. With Tom and Gary's ability to explode for goals, I wouldn't say Chad is locked in the #1 spot, but he's certainly the favorite to come away with the trophy.
