CLUBWAKA Fall Bowling - Regular Season Recap

The regular season is in the books and the divisions are set! You can check out the spreadsheet for the full list of scores and standings.

REGULAR SEASON STANDINGS:

This has been one of the most consistent seasons with only three of the top ten teams dropping to the bottom half throughout the season - and none in the last two weeks! Spare Wars: A New Rack ends the season at the top of the standings and the season high weekly team score. Scared Splitless, a mostly rookie team, has made a strong showing in their first season never dropping below third place in the standings and finishing in second. Eye Candy is looking to reclaim the trophy they last held in Winter 2019. Jive A$$ Turkeys changes their name, but remains consistent in their scores even after a slow start to the season. Obviously Not Golfers hasn't hoisted the trophy since Summer 2018, but are looking to end that streak. 8 Ballz and 2 Splitz is looking to win their first trophy after consistently ending in the top tier of the standings. Win or Lose, We Still Booze is the reigning Domestic Beer Trophy winners, but will need another come from behind win to claim it again. Mine's In The Gutter is looking for an upgrade in hardware from Spring 2019 after winning the cup trophy. Framed hit a mid-season slump, but rebounded nicely to finish in the top tier. Rounding out the Top 10 is Flame Throwers who brought in some new players this season, but are looking to reclaim the trophy they won in Spring 2019.

No matter what happens, a new champion will be crowned! Spare Me ends the regular season at the top of Tier 2, which is also where they ended the regular Spring 2019 season, but will they be able to hoist the Cup Trophy this time? Slightly Above Average is the only bottom tier team to spend time in the top half of the standings. Bye Polar Bowlers is a mainly rookie team, but are hoping they can help their one veteran member repeat as Cup Trophy champion. Splits and Giggles drop to the bottom tier in their sophomore season, but still make a strong showing with some new players. Split Happens is looking to close out the season with a trophy after a near miss in Spring 2019. Pin Bowl Wizards started slowly, but steadily rose through the standings. Strike at Dawn is a mix of friend group and free agents, but have come together as a fun team even if the pins aren't always falling. Tuckin' Fenpin! seems to be more focused on the challenges rather than the pins, but are definitely one of the teams having the most fun each week. Pin Pals has taken a blind score more often than any other team which may account for their low standing, but if all their players are there they have a chance to make a run at the trophy.

All scores will be reset to zero to start the Playoffs (11/10). Scores from the Playoffs (11/10) and the Championship (11/17) will be combined to determine each division's winner.


PLAYOFF LANE ASSIGNMENTS: 11/10

NOTE: The lane assignments for the final Championship Week (11/17) will be assigned based on division standings from the playoffs week: 1v2, 3v4, etc. with a volunteer team to bowl alone on Lanes 1&2.

WEEKLY TEAM CHALLENGE STANDINGS:

While there's always a chance for all teams, this seems to have become a two team race between Tuckin' Fenpin! and Win or Lose, We Still Booze. Tuckin' Fenpin! took an early lead after Week 2, but Win or Lose, We Still Booze made a strong comeback in Week 4. Both teams are making a strong push for the Weekly Team Challenge plaque!
Points will continue through the Championship Week (11/17) as a season long total for the winner!

 - Price: $30-35 per player. The earlier you register, the more you save!
 - Registration includes Team T-Shirt, at least 3 guaranteed games, free shoe rental, and charity donation. 
 - Format: This is a 9-pin "No-Tap" tournament, which means a 9 on the first throw of each frame counts as a strike.
 - Coed teams of four with at least two of each gender are required. 
 - Each team will bowl 3 games. 
 - Don't have a team? No problem! You can sign up as a free agent and we will help find you a team before the event. CLUBWAKA Bowling is a great way to get your friends or co-workers together or to meet new people!
 - What if I don't have any bowling skills??  Doesn't matter.  This is a social event built on FUN!  It's more like a party and a fun day out than anything else!
