Thank you all for joining us for the 2020 CLUBWAKA Hampton Roads Kickball Cup! We're so excited to host our first one-day tournament of the year and we have 8 fantastic teams ready to compete on Saturday! As we look forward to an awesome day of kicking the red rubber ball together, I want to take a moment to go over some important information.

EVENT STAFF

To start, let's introduce our CLUBWAKA team. Our goal is to make this a positive day for everyone, so if there is anything we can do to assist, please let us know.

  • Brent Wentworth - General Manager

  • Ryan Kiel - Head Ref

  • Tonya Joyner - Check-In

In addition to the members above, we have a great group of refs in the pool. This event wouldn't be possible without their help.

ALCOHOL POLICY

  • The concession stands will be open and available for beer purchases. All beer purchased must be consumed on the pavilion and can not be taken to the field.

  • Outside alcohol is prohibited on the park property. If you choose to consume beer, it will be at your own risk, so be smart, please.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Alright, so there has been this pandemic going on. Not sure if you've heard or not. We have some important reminders/policies in place to ensure we are all safe and responsible on Saturday while playing the sport we all love.

  • TEMPERATURE CHECKS: All players must check-in prior to going to their field and receive a contactless temperature reading. Anyone who has a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher will be unable to participate in the tournament.

  • MASKS:  Masks are encouraged, but NOT required throughout the day, with the exception of when checking in.

  • SICK?: If you’re feeling ill, have a fever, or have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you do not attend Saturday’s event.

  • WASH YOUR HANDS: While there are hand sanitizing stations in the park, we encourage all participants to come prepared with your own and use throughout the day in addition to washing your hands when visiting the restrooms.

  • SOCIAL DISTANCING: Please make every effort to maintain social distancing throughout the day and avoid congregating in large groups. This is especially important to remember later in the day, as teams get eliminated and wish to stick around to watch the playoffs.

  • NO POSTGAME HIGH FIVE LINES: Just show your sportsmanship by giving an enthusiastic wave or thumbs up to your opponents after each game.

  • OFFICIALS: We have some awesome refs lined up for the day. Please respect their personal space. Reminder: Only captains may discuss a call with the head ref.

  • LEAVE NO TRACE:  Please ensure that you collect and dispose of all belongings and trash from your field/sideline.
