Winter Wonderland - Angel Tree Family

On Friday, December 16th, CLUBWAKA will take over Downtown Hampton for the inaugural Winter Wonderland Charity Bar Crawl. Proceeds from the wristband sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula. Additionally, we're encouraging all participants to bring a toy with them for "Santa Wentworth". We recently received a request to help out a specific local family in need. The "Bunts" are a family of 5 who have fallen on some difficult times. From Laurel Ramey, Chief Development Officer of the BGC:
Mom is a housekeeper, and dad is a landscaper, but they often have trouble making ends meet. Our Area Director in York, Eric, said the kids get a lot of their clothing from hand-me-downs from another family at the Club. They have a large extended family and are very close. Mom and Dad have been together for 16 years. They enjoy board games and fishing as a family. Eric said they're all musically inclined (we can check what instruments they play or if they sing!) and have a very religious background. The oldest child, Syncere, is an honor student and will graduate in 2018.
We're happy to adopt this family and help them have a better Christmas, so all gifts donated on the bar crawl will go to the Angel Tree program.

To help track the gifts and to reduce duplication, please use this Google doc to let us know what you plan to donate if you are participating. If you'd prefer to donate cash to help purchase some of the more expensive items on the list, please use this PayPal link.

Together, we can make an impact this holiday season. Thank you all in advance for your help.

Wristbands are still on sale for only $10 for the 2016 Winter Wonderland Bar Crawl. To register, please visit kickball.com/vacharitybarcrawl
