VIPs To Compete for World Kickball Championship

The Emperors Club announced on Friday, that the club has accepted the invitation to compete for the World Championship of Kickball in WAKA's Founders Cup XIV Tournament in Las Vegas this October.

The VIPs earned the early invitation from WAKA after winning their third consecutive VA Peninsula championship in the Fall. This will be The Emperors Club's first time competing in the Founders Cup, and only the 2nd time a VA Peninsula team has been represented at the tournament. Wilfred Brimley's Mustache Ride competed in the 2008 Founders Cup (Foul Balls made the trip to Vegas in 2009, but was not able to play in the tournament after being put on the waiting list).

When reached for comment, a slightly incoherent George Kiriazidis kept yelling, "VEGAS BABY! VEGAS!!!"

The Founders Cup XIV is scheduled for Columbus Day weekend in October. 64 teams from across the country will compete for over $20,000 in prizes and the title of World Kickball Champion.

  1. Foul Balls went all the way to Vegas, then found out they couldn't play?

  2. They were on the waiting list, so they knew they wouldn't be playing before hand, but they still decided to go anyway... Heard they partied their asses off and did pretty well in a flip cup tourney though. You'll have to ask Jen about it.
