Take me out to the ball game!

Thanks to everyone who came out the last two weeks to War Memorial to check out the Pilots games. The games were a blast, and it looked like everyone was having a great time. Last week in particular, the weather was beautiful and the beers were flowing as over 75 kickballers crowded into the beer garden and watched some great baseball.

Some of the highlights:

Yours truly had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. I was so amped up, I threw a one bouncer. :(

In between innings, WAKA players got to participate in the extracurricular games. Birthday girl Krystal Kenney raced her hubby Scott in the shopping cart race and smoked him pretty handily.

The Clockers' Britney Travis and NKotB's Courtney Efird raced to a draw in the dizzy bat competition. (although if you didn't know any better, you'd think they were just drunk and not dizzy. Can't you picture them running like that at Luckie's?).

Then in the middle of the 8th inning, Jeff "The Smooth Operator" White totally redeemed himself after his awful shopping cart race performance last week. He stroked a golf ball over the center field fence with a pitching wedge to earn a free round of golf.

Finally, the kickball crew did what we do on Wednesdays and headed over to Luckie's to party it up..

After midnight, we let it all hang out.
