So in the case of VD and the Chubby Gangsters both teams finished 10-2. The first tie breaker is head to head. On May 25th, VD defeated the Gangbangers 8-1... In the case of JFK and the 5 O'Clockers, Bryan Freed's squad earned the 4th seed based on their 4-2 victory on April 27th... The New Kickheads edged their rivals Battlestar Ballsacktica on May 11th, to secure the 10th seed.Procedures To Break TiesIf, at the end of the regular season, two or more teams in the same League finish with identical Win Percentages, the following steps will be taken until a winner is determined:Two-Way Tie:1) If the tied teams played each other during the season, the team with the better head-to-head record receives the higher rank.2) If the tied teams did not play each other, or if the result of criteria #1 is inconclusive, the team with more overall wins during the regular season receives the higher rank.3) If the tied teams have the same number of overall wins, the team with fewer total runs allowed during the regular season receives the higher rank.• If total runs allowed is a tie, eliminate the runs allowed by each team in their FIRST game of the season, and compare again. If still tied, compare after eliminating the runs allowed in their first and second games, and so on.4) If the teams are still tied, representatives from the teams or proxies from the League's volunteer leadership shall shoot Rock-Paper-Scissors (best 2 out of 3) to determine the final result
Now here is the bracket for the playoffs on July 9th.

Based on your feedback on the last customer satisfaction survey, WAKA will be providing non-VA Peninsula refs for the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and the Finals! So once your team is eliminated, you won't have to worry about reffing assignments. And if your team makes a run deep into the tourney, you'll have the luxury of having great, professional kickball refs call your game! (Due to budget restraints, players will have to ref the first round games).
This is just another example of your feedback being heard and action being taken! This has been the biggest and best season of WAKA Kickball yet on the Peninsula, and we're going to end it in style on July 9th!
If anyone has any questions or feedback, please feel free to reach me at brent@kickball.com or just hit up Facebook, Twitter, or the comments below!
