The former VIPs sign contract to play for one time rivals, 5 O'Clockers
The 5 O'Clockers are the latest team to make a big splash this offseason, as they have announced the aquisition of Jenn Devlin and C/Ch Randy Devlin on Monday. The couple are returning to VA Peninsula competition for the first time since the spring of 2010. Previously, both Devlins played with The Emperors Club.
Everyone loves Randy.
Jenn Devlin was one of the founding members of the VIPs, in the Fall of 2007, when the franchise debuted under the name "Bad Newz Kennelz". She was a member of two Wentworth Trophy winning teams (Spring2008 and Spring 2010), but has been mostly inactive over the past two years, while out on maternity leave following the birth of their daughter Morgan.
"It's been over two years since I played regularly. Let the training begin." Jenn commented in a recent interview, "I'm nervous, but excited to join the Clockers."

Randy Devlin joined The Emperors Club a season after Jenn, and immediately helped lead them to the first of four league championships. While Devlin has not competed in VA Peninsula in over a year, he has not been inactive from kickball. Randy has been playing with nationally ranked The Situation in VA Southside and VA Recess. In his ongoing stint with The Situation, Randy has continued to earn respect as one of the best catchers in all of kickball. His addition to an already very talented team has 5 O'Clocker fans dreaming of once again winning the Wentworth Trophy.
When asked why he decided to return to VA Peninsula, Randy said, "I look forward to playing under the best commissioner ever!" (showing that he is an elite ass kisser as well as an elite catcher/charger)
Randy Devlin is well known for his trademark plaid shorts
that he always wears while playing.
It's been well documented the history between The Emperors Club and the 5 O'Clockers. There is no doubt that the Devlins' decision to jump to their former rivals will send shockwaves through the entire league. Will it be enough to change the balance of power in VA Peninsula?
