Free Ballin' Scores Late to Edge Rivals Battlestar

Well, the fields FINALLY dried out enough for us to play this week! However, the Ballsacks still had rain on the brain and didn't really "show up" in the first inning of the game against their "sister" team.  Free Ballin hit the ground running and tallied up 4 runs in the first inning to wake up Battlestar. BB answered back with 2 runs in the first as well by Phil Tanner and Kyle Rowley. Then the BB defense kicked in holding Free Ballin to no runs in the next 3 innings.

Hey, speaking of "sisters", our ladies stepped up and made some awesome plays! Nicole Plesha made a few outs while playing 3rd base including a tag at 3rd and a throw to second for an out. Karen Savell also made an out at 3rd when Michael Machie scooped it up and tossed it to her right on the dot. (No, seriously... Right on the dot of her kickball.com jersey!) Stephanie Wacek stepped up at short stop and caught a fly ball as well. Way to go ladies!! Holla!! There were also some fantastic catches in the outfield by Brandon Silver and Joe Stumpo... way to go, dudes!

The Ballsacks fought back in the 4th inning and got 2 more runs in made by Michael and Phil to tie the game up at 4-4. The Ballsacks tried to hold them for a tie game, but they let one run in at the top of the 5th to make it 5-4 and that's where it stayed. Free Ballin gets the win and hands BB their second loss. "Congratulations" goes to our sissy...I mean "sister" team in their win.

P.S.- It was reported that BB teammates met at Luckies to party hard after the game and to plan revenge tactics at the end of the season tournament (oh boy, you guys are in sooo much trouble!!), but then forgot everything the next morning because nobody wrote it down...
