It was a week of winding down after winning the Bar Belt for Battlestar but... It was another exciting game as the Ballsacks battled the Clockers! So let's jump right into it!
The Clockers got home field advantage and kicked first, but soon realized the Ballsacks defense was NOT to be messed with. After 4-5 kickers came up they were held to NO runs. Then it was BB's turn and we turned on the heat! Before it was all over, we scored 2 runs on them. BOO-yah!! Yes, we have unleash our secret weapon for this game and we shall call him... Jason "Steel Toe" Lantz! He's finally come out for his debut after having a long run of night shifts at work. He has assured us that he'll be able to play for the rest of the season. The boy's gotta boot, let me tell you! And even if his kick comes up high and short, it's got a wicked spin and will bounce clean off of you anyway. SICK! Welcome to the playing field Jason Lantz!
With the score at 2-0, the Clockers were determined to get back in the game. They kicked a run in but the Ballsacks held their ground and shut them down again. Even when 5OC had BASES LOADED in the next inning, BB again, held them to no runs. (Is this BATTLESTAR I'm talking about?! H-E- to the-Double Hockey Sticks YEAH!!)
Then the bloopers came and it all went downhill from there. The end.

It was a fun game for sure! Close games are always fun! Speaking of close, we'll have to be labeled as the huggingest team in the league! For some reason Peter Kuhr decided to hug the runner on 2nd base while "backing up" Erin Herring. (Is there something we don't know about, MVPeter??) and then Andy Tapley tried to round 2nd and get to 3rd before the throw and gave 3rd base player a big face-plant hug! Later he said,"I thought in my mind that I had the "Machine's" (Michael Machie) speed and went for it. I was quite wrong."
Team stats:
Huggingest team: Battlestar Ballsacktica
Most RKI's: Jason Lantz with 3 (He was also 2-2 in kicking) woohoooooooo!!!
Got on 3rd base for the 1st time since 5th grade: Stephanie Wacek
Got caught picking clovers: MVPeter Kuhr, Karen Savell
Peacocked a ball: Mike Graziano
Still hasn't convinced Lorraine to play: George Kiriazidis
Ok enough silliness. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ALERT!!!! We have a pair of Ballsacks that have made it official! Yep, Michael Machie took a knee and popped the question to Erin Herring, and the answer was "uh, well, um....hmmm.....er..eh...uuhhhh....OK!!!" (I'm sure the answer was a quick resounding YES!!!) Congratulations to our newly engaged couple of ballsacks!! If you wanna check out Erin's new bling ring, just look for the retina-burning bright orange shirts!
