Week 2 Results & Standings

With the Apprentice School debowing the fields, every game was in prime time for week 2. With the later start times, and slightly abbreviated games (45 minute time limits vs. 60), we hit War Memorial and played 9 games on Wednesday. Let's take a quick look at the results from Week 2. 

Just For Kicks 13, Chicken Tetrazzini 1

JFK over-powered the Angry Birds, scoring 8 runs in a 22 minute long first inning, cruising to victory. 

Jill Simms powerful kick in the first drove in a pair of runs.

Free Ballin' 3, Jagernauts 3

The Jagernauts were down to their final out, when they scored the tying run in dramatic fashion. The draw is Free Ballin's second straight 3-3 tie to open the season. 

Kick Ass 5, Battlestar Ballsacktica 1

This was a tight contest for most of the game, until the wheels fell off for the Ballsacks. The aggressive offensive attack of the Kick Ass squad took advantage. 

Rumspringa 6, Peanut Butter Jelly Time 1

'Springa sprung on a couple of defensive miscues and earned a 'W' in their first contest of the season. 

Moose Knuckles 7, Chicken Tetrazzini 0 

The Moose Knuckles picked up right where they left off last spring. Their high powered offense was too much for the Chickens to handle on Wednesday. 

Chubby Gangsters 8, Foul Balls 1

These two teams historically have high scoring shootouts when they play, but in this encounter, the Gangsters defense was stout. 

Burning Bridges 3, Shake N Bake 2

The Bridges had a tough week 1, but they rebounded nicely. Executing their offense and defense, they took out the top ranked Bakers in an impressive victory. 

5 O'Clockers 3, Rumspringa 1

Matt Wellbrock's quest to one day beat the Clockers will have to be put on hold. The Amish just didn't quite have enough juice to take out the Clocks.
