Bar Buzz: Week 4, Spring 2012

A Throw Back, for old time's sake
Well folks. You've officially made it through 4 weeks of epic WAKA Wednesdays. That's enough for two pay periods (if you're lucky enough) and not quite enough for your next performance review. All of which means, we can only continue to go up from here. In the academic calendar, this means it's time for midterms so let's do some group self reflection and see where we each stand, because we all know in the WAKA world - there are absolutely NO take home exams.

16. Just For Kicks
15. Chubby Gangsters
14. Battlestar Ballsacktica
13. New Kickheads on the Block
12. 5 O'Clockers
11. Free Ballin

10. Just Kickin'-It - JKI came ready to play this week! Although their mingling was a little sub-par, they made up for it in participation AND cutting a "rug." Will this be a much needed turning point for this kickin' team?

9. Shake N Bake - This certainly is a SNB team unlike any we have seen before and roster newcomers, Heidi Etter, Scott Duncan and Amy Monteiro certainly seem determined to keep their team Shakin' and Bakin' all the way to the top.

8. Jagernauts - This may be one of the most inconsistent Jagernaut team to ever grace Luckie's dance floor. And yet somehow they still seem to manage to stay in the top {and no, it has nothing to do with our "biased" panel)} but still.... something seems missing. Can this champion Bar Buzz team make it once again to the #1 slot?

7. Peanut Butter Jelly Time - Word on the street is that there are a few PBJers who are campaigning for a "small group" presentation of the belt. Although this feat has been achieved just once before (so it's certainly possible),  the opportunity for Peanut Butter Jelly Time has not yet passed.

6. Rumspringa - Well at least they didn't drop the ball on this week's post-bar buzz winning celebration, in fact this is the type of celebration that repeat winnings are made of... it's only too bad that there's way more than one team gunning for the belt this season. In fact, for the 4th week in a row we had a pretty outstanding run for the top 5.

5. Chicken Tetrazinni - The angry birds certainly like their perch in the top 5. In fact, whenever they are outside of this magic number, it's likely that someone will get harassed in the bar the next week. But on the whole,  CT is often more inconsistent than the Luckie's weekly stock of Bud Lite pounders . How long will it take until they can finally get it together? Although, don't get me wrong, with the weekly battles we've seen so far this season {and I'm certainly not just talking about dance battles}, hanging in the top 5 is accomplishment enough.

4. Burning Bridges - The Bridges certainly aren't burnt yet/...and our guess is, no one is calling the fire department any time soon. {See what I did there?!?}

3. Moose Knuckles - The MOOOOOOSEEEE has been edging their way to the top since our very meager beginnings and trust me, their sudden emergence is only a matter of time.

2. Kick Ass - I'm not going to lie... KA's recent placement in our poll has been nothing short of outstanding. Our very own Manny Anderson, even managed to make it to his very first AMP {disclaimer: we're not really sure if it's his very first, but we're unwiling to scour the photos at this hour of the night and he's managed to dodge so many this season alone that we'll just go on assumptions this time.} Unfortunately, their top opponent this week has been practicing their own form of avenging since their more than narrow loss last week.

1. Foul Balls - Perceptive bar go-ers will find this week's belting as no surprise at all. And after weeks of campaining (some would argue, the FB campaign never actually stopped), in Week 4 all the pieces finally managed to fall together for our beloved Foulies.

Week 4: Bar Buzz Champs!

Until Next time -- Bottom's Up!
