Lots of Updates!

Kickballers! 

I hope you're enjoying this season at least 1/2 as much as I am so far. We've had some great times at the fields and at Luckie's. And we have a lot to look forward to over the next 5 weeks! 

Some updates: 
Due to baseball conflicts with the Stadium, the next two weeks' worth of games will be played at Tabb Middle School in Yorktown. The address is 300 Yorktown Rd, Yorktown, VA.

ROCKAOKE! 
After the games, this week, head back over to our awesome sponsor, Luckie's for some ROCKAOAKE (think karaoake in front of a live rock band!) Even if you didn't sign up to perform, come out for the comedy of watching your fellow kickballers melt some faces off (or really embarass themselves). No doubt this will be a night to remember! 

WAKA Kicks Cancer - RELAY FOR LIFE THIS WEEKEND! 
We're in the home stretch for our fundraising campaign to benefit the American Cancer Soceity's Relay for Life! Our team, "WAKA Kicks Cancer" has raised nearly $3,400 as of this moment, and we don't want to stop there! If you would like to support the team, please click here and make a donation! Every little bit counts, as we try and kick cancer right in the mouth!

3UP 3DOWN - Podcast! 
Did you know that the league has it's very own weekly podcast? Well, we do (yes, seriously)! Each week, hosts Jorts Johnson, Matt Wellbrock, and Commissioner Wentworth break down the previous week's action and previews the upcoming games. VA Patriot - WAKA SUMMER LEAGUE (with draft option!) 
Also, in case you missed it, for the first time ever, WAKA is running a short summer season on the Peninsula! It's the perfect gap between the Spring and the Fall VA Peninsula seasons! Play is on Wednesday nights in York County from July 11th to August 8th... Also for the first time, we'll be giving players the option of entering the draft! After the games, head over to our postgame clubhouse, The Cactus for $2 PBR pounders, $2 special craft beers, $2 hamburgers/tacos, and karaoake!

Good luck! 
Several Peninsula kickballers will be traveling with the Foot Snipers and the Peninsula Pounders to compete in the Jacksonville Kickball Open this weekend! Good luck and represent! Bring the trophy back to the 757!
