WAKA VA Patriot Summer Season Announced!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, adults of all ages, WAKA VA Patriot league is proud to present to you it’s very first WAKA SUMMER KICKBALL LEAGUE on the Peninsula!!

• The new league is fashioned as a short league, set to hold games on Wednesday nights Starting July 11th and running through August 8th. The perfect bridge between VA Peninsula Spring and Fall seasons! 
• There will be a guaranteed 5 games for every team; however we will fit as many games into the schedule as we can once teams are registered. Games will be at 6:30 & 7:30. 
• We will also be playing on a different pitch for this season and taking our talents to the York County Sports Complex. Since this is a shorter season, the cost to play will only be $41!! 
• Your registration fee includes your team shirt (C’mon, who doesn’t want another WAKA shirt in their wardrobe!?) and funding for an epic End of Season Party (details to follow)! 
• Bar sponsor TBD, but there will be a postgame hangout with exclusive specials for WAKA Kickballers! 

And since this is a season of firsts, we’re not going to stop there! This is the first time we will be offering a draft style team selection for those that are interested. Here is how it will work:

Everyone still registers like normal through the kickball.com website and for those that already know they want to be on a specific team with specific players still have the option to start a Friend Group, and when they get enough players registered they will be upgraded to a Team and filled accordingly. However, for those that would like to participate in the Draft style registration you would just register as a free agent, with no team allegiance. From there, several captains will be called upon and a blind draft will be used to place all free agents on teams. What better way to meet new people and make new friends? The DRAFT will be held live at the Meet N Greet (Details to come!)

There are a lot of new and exciting things happening this summer, and we want you to be a part of the ground breaking league! Tell your friends and spread the word and ensure we can make this inaugural season a blast! After all, there are a lot of new ideas and changes being made… but this is still your same game of kickball and socializing with some of the greatest people in Virginia!
