Fall Dates Reminder & Update

Ladies, Gentlemen and fellow kickballers!

We are less then a week away from Week 1 of the Peninsula Fall season. I hope everyone is getting their practices in. Bunting practice, fielding practice, flip cup practice, karaoke pratice [foreshadowing]! I know there is a lot of buzz with new teams and new rivalries forming, which will assuredly make this season nothing less than epic.

I wanted to share some key dates with everyone to make sure we'll all on the same page and anticipating some big things going on this season.

August 22nd - Week 1 @ War Memorial Stadium. This will also be the week the camera crew will be coming out to film how awesome you are at kickball and throwing down at the bar.

***August 29th - Orginally scheduled to be Week 2 of the regular season. Now it is going to be the Fall Meet n Greet version 2.0. Details are below.

September 15th - Midseason Party [Specific Details to be announced shortly]

November 14th - Last Week of the regular season
November 17th - End of Season Tournament & Party

Alright, here's the deal with Week 2. Our buddies at War Memorial have the opportunity to have some state funded drainage work done on the field and, while in the long run that is awesome news for us, August 29th the field will be under construction. We tried to contact our usual back-up plan and they are booked. We even tried to hit YCSC up again, but it simply was just too expensive to play one night of kickball there. So, even though in the long run it sucks to use one of our rainout weeks before the season even starts, that's really our only option at this point.

We didn't want this to be an off week however. So if we can't play kickball... why not have a party?? We will have our 2nd Meet n Greet of the Season this night, August 29th, at Luckie's Party Bar. Normal drink specials will still be offered ($3 24 oz. & $3 WAKA Bombs). There will also be team incentives for every team. If anyone on your team shows up, you will receive a free pitcher of beer. If your team is able to get 10+ people then you will receive 2 extra free pitchers! 3 free pitchers, WAKA Bombs, you don't have to wear your kickball jersey... how could this get better? Well Luckie's realized how much you guys loved karaoke over the summer and they will be providing you with the chance to show off all of your golden pipes! Now you have to show up!
