Ballsacks: "It's not cheating if it's your dog!"

Re-cap by Karen "Silent Killer" Savell

Battlestar and PB&JT fought it out for the Week 3 round. Both teams were motivated for the win! The Sandwiches were hyped with a walk-off win in Week 1 for their first game, and the Ballsacks were determined to get a first win for the fall season.

It seems the Ballsacks wanted it more, since they made some sweet defensive plays to hold the Jelly's to just 2 runs for the game. Nicole Plesha made a beautiful pirouette with a half twist move as she caught a line drive foul ball toward 3rd base. (The panel of judges on the sideline conferred and agreed that since she stuck the landing, they gave her a score of 9.7.) Also, when PB&J had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out, the ball was kicked away to right field almost over the Silent Killer's head. But she adjusted and used the Force to suck that ball right in, but not before the 2nd run for PB&J tagged and ran in. (Damn, those Ballsack ladies are HOT!) P.S.-Not a single ball was dropped in the outfield. At all. AGAIN!! It must be a record...;)

Some of the HOT men that made their debut with the Ballsacks were Geoff Morehart who pitched for the first time for his new team. As usual, he fired them from the mound and seemed to make the kickers pop up the balls for easy infield catches. (Or it may be my imagination.) He was also part of an ESPN highlight reel moment in the final inning, but we'll get to that later. ;) (I know! The suspension is killing you right?! Well, just keep reading!) . Also, Mark Thompson played catcher for the first time...EVER...IN HIS LIFE...and fit right in (LIKE A GLOVE!!!!!!) the ESPN highlight reel moment for Mark was when the Jelly's had a runner on first and the next kicker barely popped it up as he was trying to bunt down the 3rd base line. Mark was able to catch it and saw the the first base runner off base and was able to throw it to first before the runner could slide back. BOO-YAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! This little dude is a keeper! He's really fast, thinks fast, and he's hard to catch....and I shall call him......"Rabbit"!

The 3rd and 4th innings were full of well placed bunts and line drives to boost Battlestar's score to 5. George Kiriazidis, Brandon Silver, Michael Machie, Kyle Rowley, Mark Thompson and Joe Stumpo all made cool bunt plays to get on base. PB&J might have had better luck if the defense held the ball instead of throwing to first with runners on 2nd and/or 3rd, sooooo the Ballsacks ate em up!

The clincher (Ok, here it is!! I know you've been waiting in agonizing anticipation!!) was in the final inning where there was a line drive kicked between pitcher Geoff Morehart and Charger Kyle Rowley. I like to call this the "Teamwork Tap Play" as Kyle took a dive to reach the ball and baaaarrrrrely was able to knock it down, where it bounced softly to Geoff who quickly but calmly picked it up and threw it to first for the final out of the game. SWEEEEEEEET!! I guess you had to be there because it was an AWESOME play!! Congrats to these guys for making the Ballsack "Play of the Week"!

So the Ballsacks are looking pretty solid with their defense and offense taking off like balls on fire!! It's getting to where the cogs are working together, and they are adding the oil and WD-40 and tightening the nuts and bolts of this machine. Oh yeah....it's coming together! Be on the look out for the BallllllllllllllllllllllllllSACKS!!!!!!!!

P.S.-I still have not witnessed pitcher/outfielder Brent "I only show my sexy legs to my lady" Obershaw of the PB&JT any sign of the rumored sexy, muscular legs under those blue jeans...which leads me to believe he doesn't have any. There MUST be little prosthetic sticks under there! It is my mission to reveal the truth!! Stay tuned.....
