VA Peninsula Coaches Poll - 4.13.2013

Each week, the captains are invited to participate in a weekly 'Coaches Poll' that ranks all the movers and shakers in the WAKA VA Peninsula league. After a week 1 that featured a lot of competitive games, we are happy to compile our first ranking list for the spring 2013 season!

Week 1: Won 4-1 vs. Who's Driving Home?
As noted in the official FB preview, the Foul ones reloaded with talent and are off to a hot start. Can they keep this up all season?

9. Peanut Butter Jelly Time ( 27 pts )
Record: 1-0
Week 1: Won 12-1 vs. Chicken Tetrazzini
Fear the Jelly? The folks in purple put an impressive beat down on the Chickens to open their season.

8. Battlestar Ballsacktica ( 30 pts ) 
Record: 0-1
Week 1: Lost 3-5 to Kick Ass
The Ballsacks talked a lot going into week 1, but fell short against KA. Still, this is a talented crew that will be a tough match up throughout the season.

7. Rumspringa ( 48 pts ) 
Record: 0-1
Week 1: Lost 0-2 to 5 O'Clockers
The 'Springa defense held strong against the high powered Clocker lineup, but if they hope to move up in the rankings, they'll have to score some runs.

6. That Just Happened ( 52 pts )
Record: 0-1
Week 1: Lost 0-1 to Free Ballin'
A mixture of some familiar Burning Bridgers and some new rookies with potential has TJH looking just outside the top 5.

5. Kick Ass ( 70 pts )
Record: 1-0
Week 1: Won 5-3 vs. Battlestar Ballsacktica
Speed kills.

4. Free Ballin' ( 73 pts ) 
Record: 1-0
Week 1: Won 1-0 vs. TJH.
Good luck trying to score against squad. Very few holes in this talented defense. .

3. Moose Knuckles ( 89 pts ) 
Record: 0-1
Week 1: Lost 0-1 vs Pop Pop
The Knucklers were a couple plays away from winning their first match, however weren't able to pull it out. Don't read too much into the opening night L though. I'd be surprised if this team gets shut out again.

2. 5 O'Clockers ( 94 pts, 2 first place votes ) 
Record: 1-0
Week 1: Won 2-0 vs Rumspringa
The Just For Klockers made their debut last week and shut down the speedy Rumspringa squad. Lots of talent up and down the roster for the black team.

Record: 1-0
Week 1: Won 1-0 vs. Moose Knuckles
In what some pundits claim could be a Wentworth Trophy® Finals preview, the Poppers came out on top against a loaded Moose Knuckles team. Not a bad way to make their WAKA debut, earning the top spot in the Coaches Poll.
