The KILFs, which stands for "Kickballers I'd Like To F***" (Editors Note: Friend Request?) are a new team coming to WAKA this season. The main captain, Chris Storar, rounded up a bunch of his softball friends in an attempt to form a competitive team. When the team was little more than an idea, Chris had asked Eric Schessl, aka Eric the Bearded, to join him. Chris and Eric along with some help from Josh and Ted who are their other co captains, have put together a very athletic team, albeit one that is short on experienced kickballers. To prepare the squad, the KILFs have had weekly practices and captains' meetings to bring everyone up to speed.
While a majority of the players to CK are new, there are a few good additions that were picked up on the free agent market. Justine Sumrell, formerly of Rumspringa, will bring some much needed experience for their ladies. Another girl, Kayla Via, followed Storar from the minor leagues and is a great bunter. Landon Barton has soccer experience, and can lay down a mean bunt.
They have plenty of speed all over the roster in Chris, Kippy, Landon, TJ, and Randall. Brandon P. and Brandon C. have good deep kicks. It will be interesting to see everything come together on WAKA Wednesday!
