Ballsagna Wastes WAKAholics

Yep, you read that right.  Ballsagna actually won a game!  Woohooooo!!!  Well, who knew that the Ballsagna squad would have such a rough start?!  Got to get all them there ingredients just right to make it work and stuff... :P
Ballsagna started off hot and got 2 or 3 runs in the first inning. (Forgive the inaccuracy, I'm old...) and were able to hold the WAKAholics with a wicked defense.  Patrick Jones caught a sick, diving snag at first base to close out the 1st inning. SWEEEEEET!!!
Andrew Schlichte made his debut with our crew that night and he was awesome!!! Going 3-3 kicking and pitching pepper all night long! OK, there were a few change ups that he did, but I don't think they were on purpose?  Welcome to the crew, Andrew! :) By the way, where was my Fireball that night??  You're still on probation, buddy!  If I'm not supplied with the proper alcohol amenities, things will get ugly!  You have been warned!!!!

Andrew Schlichte:Dude got game!

Ok, where was I? Oh yeah...
WAKAholics were able to move some runners around bringing in 1 by kicking away shallow to center field. Jon Lenard was able to get it on the bounce and fire it into 2nd base where Karen "Silent Killer" Savell was waiting.  She managed to tag the bag, hop out of the way of a tackle to the ankles and throw it in to the pitcher, but not before a run came in. (No photos of the Silent Killer at this time.  She's just too fast and elusive! Bwahahahaaaa!  Oh wait...see that green shoe on the right in Andrew's photo? That's all you're gonna get. :P)
The Ballsagna offense kept pounding it in and running the bases and got up to 6 runs in the 4th. Brad Kirby walloped a 2 run homer towards left center field where it just kept going....and going!  With the WAKAholics down by 3 and game time was called, the captains and refs talked it out at the plate and decided to continue to play the full game...cuz talking over a plate is what George Kiriazidis does best! Especially if its full of FOOD!  With a beer.....or 2  Mmmmmmm...

Brad Kirby-"Yep, I'm bad! Uh huh!"

They said bring it, so it was brung! Ballsagna pulled out all their tricks with perfect bunts down 3rd and 1st.  Holly Lenard was up to kick with bases loaded and bunted it perfectly down the 1st base line.  She managed to bring in 2 runners on that bunt and got on base safely. Karen laid a bunt down 3 and got bases loaded again. A line drive kick was made towards 2nd and the Silent Killer had to squeek in past the 2nd base player trying to get a hold of the ball, but she slid in safely.  Then a fly ball to left bounced short and the left fielder tried to tag the Silent Killer at 3rd, but another wicked slide proved fruitful as she slid in safely AGAIN. (I'm beginning to see a pattern here. ARE YA'LL TRYING TO KILL ME?!?!) Thankfully a run to home plate on the next kick didn't require more grass up my shorts. Whew!
The score ended up being 13-3.  It felt good to get in a good smear.  Hopefully we'll keeep up the good teamwork and communication.  There were some AWESOME plays out there for sure!  Holly Lenard and Nicole Graziano both made catches on the run in foul territory to end out innings, Jenn Miller got on base all 3 times including a sniper kick in the hole! Mark Thompson and Brad Kirby hold down the catcher and charger positions nicely, as always. Newby  Andrew Lowell is learning catcher and is wicked FAST in running, throwing, and decision making.  He's already playing top notch! PJ needs no explanation.  He's a beast at everything he does! Brian Neal and David Griffin are excellent utility guys and are pro's no matter where we stick them.  Always ever efficient at getting on base.  ALL THE TIME!  And, um....George is just George. Yay, George! He looks so manly holding that lineup! ;)
"Getchyer ass on base!"

Until next time.....
Ballsagna.....FACE!!!!!
