Bar Buzz ...

So I’m probably the only one who actually enjoys rainouts. And here’s why:

Rainouts are when the true socializers prove themselves. It’s when they dedicate themselves to coming out to the bar simply to have a good time (and have a go at the #barbelt obvi). Their team is probably not out in full force, they don’t have a winner’s high, and it’s really just about the individuals coming out to have a good time.

Now, as I’ve proven before, sometimes I get writers block. I’ll tell ya, coming up with topics to write about each week is tough! Especially when it’s a crazy week on me personally. And then sometimes I think I have a pretty decent topic, then sit down to write and am immediately proven wrong….this is one of those times. My #WCW (WAKA Crush Week) really wasn’t as appealing as I thought it was. You’d be surprised how many #barbuzz topics and challenges I discard because they really weren’t “good ideas at the time” haha. So this week it's short & sweet, late, and not super exciting...sorry y'all. I'll be back on my game next week!

Now during the torrential rainout week that was last week, we did have a pretty decent turnout! Shoutouts to the New Kickheads, DCOMB, Kick A$$, JFK, #WAKAholics, WAKA Shame, Breaking Brad, and maybe a few PBJ’ers? I think I remember seeing a few other individuals out so sorry if I missed a few…I played too much shot cup (ask Will Mckendree if you’d like a tutorial…but beware, he and I are reigning champs!) But really, Breaking Brad, WAKA Shame, #WAKAholics, and Kickheads had a really strong presence last week!

Now I’m usually against individuals winning the belt for their team, but sometimes an individual just brings that extra special element that the team needed. So to Mike Kern, your presence was graciously accepted back to WAKA Wednesdays and your involvement in Flip Cup, bringing people on the dance floor, and getting the team involved was widely accepted. You were everywhere last week. Props. #WAKAholics having a strong presence throughout the evening through the #AMP (Almost Midnight Photo), simultaneously playing flip cup, pool, shot-cup, and brainstorming with the bartenders for a team shot was fabulous.

But now I’m excited to get back to this thing we call kickball! I need some epic stories to write about each week y’all!
