Wrecking Balls 15, Breaking Brad 0
Tough times for the Brads as the Balls ran wild all evening.
Foul Balls 6, Kick in a Box 5
Kick in a Box got off to an early 4-0 lead, but the veteran Foul Balls mounted a late inning comeback. Laura Schmitt drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game, and Jesse Rogers drove in the winning run.
PBJT 15, WAKA Shame 1
The Jellies exploded for 15 runs and cruised to victory.
Boom 10, #WAKAholics 1
Bailey Brown set the tone for the Boomers, trucking Mike Kern at first. Once the 'Holics were sufficiently shook, there was no stopping Boom from putting up some runs .
Plan B 7, Ballsagna 1
The game was tied at 1 through the first 3 innings, but Plan B would not be denied. A big 6 run 4th inning put the upstart Ballsagnas away. If you're interested in watching a condensed 12 minute version of the game, check it out here.
Just For Kicks 10, Battlestar 1
JFK rolls on.
Chaotic KILFs 5, Don't Come on my Base 3
The KILFs were able to hold off a strong DCOMB rally in the bottom of the 5th to secure their first victory of the season.
Ballz Deep 0, Rumspringa 0
Both teams managed to get several base runners on, but just couldn't break through. Some of this was due to incredible game saving defensive efforts. BD first baseman Matt Mitchell made a spectacular diving catch off a tipped ball to end a 'Springa scoring effort. Later in the game, Rumspringa pitcher Geoff Morehart recovered a loose ball and made an accurate throw to narrowly peg a diving BD player at 3rd. "Best game of the season so far." Ballz Deeps' Wes McClain commented afterwards.
Kick Ass 12, New Kickheads 1
Drew Paxton drove in 3 runs against his former team and Bryan "NoShoes" Moore had a home run to lead KA past the Kickheads.
