Week 4 is in the books and the books are in my spreadsheet. Let's take a peak at the league leaders after 1 month of VA Patriot kickball.
Hits
Out of 226 players in the league, only 3 have perfect kicking averages for the season (and one of those, Mike Ottman, has only had one plate appearance due to injury). After Frank Council, Randy Devlin, Dom Smith, and Jesse Rogers all made outs on Wednesday it left the Flamingo's Nick Anderson and LSD's Kyle Tyson on top.
Runs
LSD's John LaNeave went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored on Wednesday against Mamba. Not only did this vault him to the top of the stat board, but it pushed Lazy, Sexy, Drunk into the Final Four in Bowl Week. Incredible performance by Gold's lead off all season.
Home Runs
Prior to the week, Jason Kidd pledged to donate $100 to Rob Allen's fund for every homer kicked in week 4. Keith Morehart, Nick Anderson, and David Griffin all made him pay with dingers. Very cool thing to do J-Kidd.
Runs Kicked In
Nick Anderson's grand slam mentioned above doubled his RKI total and gave him the league lead headed into the Bowls.
Sacrifies
On Base + Slugging
Nick Anderson has dominated this summer. He not only has one of the top On Base Percentages, but he's doing it for power too.
