VA Peninsula Fall 2014 - Week 2 Results


Foul Balls 3, Ballsagna 2

The Foulies only had 6 base runners in this game, but they made the most of them. Jesse Rogers and Mark Flores had a pair of doubles in the first inning to drive in all 3 runs and the defense held off a couple of late inning Ballsagna rallies to earn the tight victory.

Hey, We’re KILFS Two 4, Fireballs 0

The KILFs defense was on point in this matchup. They held the Fireballs to only 3 hits in the shut out. On the offensive side, Kippy Holbrooks drove in 3 runs, including a 2 run homer in the 4th to lead K2.

Boom 5, Hotdogs & Tacos 1

After giving up a run in the first inning, the Boom defense settled in and recorded the final 13 outs in a row to put away the Tacos.

Sneak Attack 9, Hammers 1

After a 1-2-3 first inning, the wheels fell off for the Hammer defense. Sneak Attack pounded them for 13 base runners and 9 runs over the final 4 frames.

Kick in a Box 4, Resting Pitch Face 0

It was a good week to be a Kippy in kickball. KiaB’s Kippy Kyle went 2 for 2 and scored the game’s first run. Ryan Patrick, Kelly Gooch, and Terry Sears also scored for the Boxes en route to the shut out W.

The Situation 5, Heads 5

No team has ever defeated The Situation in WAKA VA Peninsula competition. The Heads held a 4 run lead headed into the last inning, but Sitch were determined to keep that unblemished record in tact.  The top of the lineup rallied to score four runs and secure the draw. Jimmy Wilcox drove in Gene Efird with a sacrifice fly for the tying run.

Rumspringa 15, Chaotic KILFs 0 

Rumspringa came out hot and put their first 7 kickers around to score, including a grand slam by Troy Southall. It was all downhill from there for the KILFs, as every single 'Springa successfully reached base in the blowout.

Kick Pitches Get Money 7, Breaking Brad 0

The game was scoreless through the first 2 innings, before KPGM broke through in the bottom 1/2 of the 3rd. Six Money players crossed the plate to break the Brads.
Players of the Game: Melissa Morgan (2/2, R); Lucas Feller (2/3, R, 2 RKI); Sarah Coon (1/1, RKI, SAC)

The Interventions 9, Recess Rejects 0 

The Interventions pushed 9 runs across the board to earn their 2nd victory of the season.
