A Little Love for the Ball-Callers...

I can't believe that week one of fall kickball has already started! Fall kickball is basically the best season ever because it rarely gets rained out, everyone starts making cute themed sweatshirts, and the cool crisp air makes it feel like we're actually doing a legitimate fall sport. But don't tell Brent or Keith that I said that, because we're totally a legitimate fall sport. I mean, kickball was featured on a national morning news program. It's basically like we're in the SEC or ACC.

And with legitimate fall sports comes legitimate referees making legitimate calls. But really, where would we be without those dedicated ball-callers?

So the challenge for last week was to take a picture with the ref of your game, and though only a few teams participated, I know from experience that it always takes a few weeks to get everyone excited. Some people still miss the memo about how fun the post-parties are.

So the top 5 teams at the bar last week are ranked below.

5. Foul Balls/Hot Dogs & Tacos/Resting Pitch Face - Yes, I know there are 3 teams tied for 5th, but that's because these teams had a pretty decent presence at the bar last week and truly made a point to mingle around and get to know people outside of their teams. Granted, these teams have seasoned players who know a lot of people on different teams, which is always a plus. I can't wait to see how these teams fare this season off the field!

4. Kick Pitches Get Money - This team is going to be awesome and I love any team that makes an effort at the bar! Coach Feller and Jeff Shildt actually told me they were staying until the picture....and they did! Your lime green shirts and hot pink accents make it super easy to spot you guys, which is always a plus.

3. KILFs - Having KILFs and KILFs2 is going to make it hard this season. But having such a strong presence in the KILFs team of twerkers means that this team is going to be hard to beat. I am so glad that this team decided to start partying at luckies, because you make the dances so much more epic!

2. Breaking Brad - This team will never disappoint, and while they didn't do the challenge (or at least not that I saw...) they still had a very strong presence in the #AMP and the Kickout Photo.

1. Interventions - It's always nice being on a team where I'm not the most social one. Having people who want to close the bar down, who want to mingle with other players, and who want to complete and participate in challenges...even if I am the one who pushes it ;)
