Tapps turned out to be quite the exciting place as the traditional WAKA shirt swap event transpired this past Wednesday. One thing it did provide was a smile on every participant’s face, and brought the different teams together competing for who could swap the most shirts. Some of the teams participating included Five Toe Death Kick, The Situation, Foul Balls, Fireballs, Hot Dogs and Tacos, the Chaotic Kilfs, and DComb. I believe Kelsey, Brad, and Amanda were for winners from those teams for the evening, as they swapped with almost every team, and even some bartenders.
This was the first time I
participated, and I definitely have to say I had a blast! Some more of the courageous swappers included
PC, Will R., Adam G., Paola, J.R. Giles, Dwight, and several other team players.
And throughout the swap, the best
part was there was no rudeness or hostility, as swaps in general can lead to
conflict as proven throughout history.
Clothing swaps overall have
always seemed to be a more amicable act in general, especially in fashion, when
it comes to being environmentally sound. Outside of sporting and social events, generally this act is performed at some sort of swap meet, bazaar or
flea market, and can be very helpful when economically building up your
wardrobe or even just cleaning up your house.
So once again, in WAKA we did it
right, and remained in great fashion with our team shirt swap. I am eagerly anticipating the next social
event, and hope everyone has fashionably forward weekend!
