WAKA VA Peninsula - Parties, Events, and Theme Weeks

We have a lot of exciting stuff going on right now, so I'm taking a moment to summarize all the event details we have over the next several weeks. 

Wednesday, October 14th 
THEME WEEK - On (WAKA) Wednesdays We Wear Pink
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Jus like the pros in the NFL, we're going to rock all of our best pink accessories this week at our games. Every team that participates will earn some FREE beer at Tapps after the games!

Saturday, October 17th
The 3rd Annual WAKA Kicks Cancer Charity Kickball Tournament
There is still time to join the WAKA Kicks Cancer Tourney this upcoming weekend! Some teams are looking for a couple extra. If you're interested in playing and don't have a team, let me know and I can help! Registration is only $35 and it covers at least 3 games, tee shirt, and charity donation to the American Cancer Society!

Saturday, October 17th 
Mid-Season Party - Tight and Bright! 
The first of two BIG Blowouts this season is this Saturday! Come join us at Manhattans in Newport News for the "Tight & Bright" mid-season party! We'll have 3 kegs of cold, delicious Bud Light for WAKA Kickballers. After the kegs are kicked, we still have $2.50 beers, $3 wine, and $6 apps available. One of the area's best bands, Hey Hey Hooligan, will be melting faces all night!

Halloween Theme Week
Dont' think I need to explain this one. Get into the Halloween spirit with costumed kickball games.

End of Season Tournament
Our playoffs begin at 9 AM at Gosnolds Hope Park. The schedule details will be released the week of the tourney, but if you haven't already saved the date, do so!

End of Season Party - WAKA Prom 
It's time to bring back one of the best themes WAKA has to offfer: PROM! Come out Saturday, November 14th to Tapps dressed to the nines for 3 kegs of FREE beer (which you will drink responsibly). We'll have other specials and stuff also. For now, start coming up with you best prom-posal! What is this? Just go to youtube and search "promposal". When you do pop the question, make sure to post it! We'll have SUPERLATIVES like prom king and queen (duh), league lovers, best promposal, etc.
