VA Peninsula - End of Season Details!

After a couple of washed out weeks to end the season, we finally get to play some kickball on Saturday! A champion will be crowned! Here are the details for this weekend's festivities.

End of Season Tournament

Location: Gosnolds Hope Park, 901 Little Rockwell Way, Hampton

Reffing: Please pay special attention to the reffing assignments. We have the first round assigned out, but after 10 AM, we will need volunteers to help ref the remainder of the tournament. Please consider staying back and helping, because this is obviously a HUGE part of having a successful day and league. Your help is appreciated.

Social Media: If you're tweeting, instagramming, facebooking, periscoping, etc... please use the hashtag #VAPeninsulaEoS. I'll be doing my best to do some tweeting of results at @waka757 and periscoping at @brent_wentworth.

Rule Reminders: A couple of points to note for the tournament.

• Home and Away is at the discretion of the higher ranked team. There is no RPS for tournament play.
• We do not have a time limit for games, because the park has no restrictions and it's important to determine winners on the field. However, please make every effort to avoid delays and begin games in a timely manner. We It's important to respect each other's time.
• In the event of a tie score after 5 innings, the game will go into extras and be played under modified "Kansas City" rules. (4 men and 4 women in the field. Last out of previous inning starts on 2nd).
• The mercy rule is automatic after 3 innings if a team is winning by 12 runs or more.
• In all WAKA League Tournament games, if the 3rd and final out of an inning is recorded due to improper positioning of a base runner, that will conclude the plate appearance for the player at kick, and the subsequent kicker will lead off that team's next inning of kicking.
