Peninsula Bowling - Winter '18 News & Notes (Week 2)

The second week of CLUBWAKA Peninsula Bowling is in the books and we somehow made it through without a 50 comment thread controversy in the captains group, so I'm in the mood to do some blogging! 

KIDS & BOWLING: First off, I want to give a big shout out to all the fellow parents in the league. For those who bring their kids to the lanes, I honestly don't know how you do it. My parents usually watch Tripp on Sundays to allow Dottie and I a break. Well, they were out of town so Tripp was with us. Chasing him around was exhausting. I could barely maintain my 22 mph speeds on my throws by the second game.

SCHNITZEL STRIKERS: My team, Obviously Not Golfers, shared the lanes with the Schnitzel Strikers. The SS (uh..maybe I shouldn't use that acronym) are really fun new additions to the leagues. Very positive energy and I really enjoyed bowling with them. Thanks for coming down from Williamsburg to play with us all! 

BROKEN HIP SWIVELS: Captain David Tortolini can be excused for missing last night with his Pats in the AFC Championship. The rest of the team?  UNACCEPTABLE.

CURRENT STANDINGS

Big Booty Throws are already over 200 pins ahead of the defending champs, Eye Candy this early into the season. They're on fire! Meanwhile the middle of the pack is really tightly bunched together, so expect a lot of jockeying for position over the next couple weeks.
