Peninsula Bowling - Spring Awards

Another fantastic season of CLUBWAKA Peninsula Bowling is in the books. Thank you all for joining us and rolling each week and making this league so much fun! As we close the book on spring 2018, let's take a look back at some of the accomplishments and highlights.

DOMESTIC BEER CHAMPIONSHIP

Obviously Not Golfers, Flame Throwers, Big Booty Throws, and Eye Candy competed for the top honors in the Domestic Beer championship roll-off. It was no surprise that Eye Candy came away with the title. They were the heavy favorites and lead the league from wire to wire. What was surprising is that their ace, Ed Aaron, was not their top performer in the championship. In fact, he bowled about 39 pins lower than his average last night. But the Candy is a well rounded squad and every other teammate bowled above their season average in the finals. Eye Candy was locked in and focused on taking home the team's second championship!

CUP TROPHY CHAMPIONSHIP (Seriously, someone name this thing)

If it weren't for a couple weeks of low attendance setting them back, Hip Swivels would've been in contention for the top playoffs. Instead they were the #16th ranked team heading into the Cup bracket. The ranking certainly didn't reflect the talent on the squad and they came through and earned the title. Ben Ottman picked a good moment to roll a season high 190 to lead the squad. His wife, Abbie Watson was consistently excellent, bowling two games of 141 each. They needed every pin as this was a close one. Split On My Face finished only 13 pins behind the champs. Great game!

SEASON AWARDS

Let's look at some of the individual standouts throughout the league.
