Clubwaka Freedom Week 2 Recap

Week 2 Recap

Sorry this took me a while to post but with the Hurricane and everything I got real lazy but lets get excited about this week of games!!!! I hope you all are ready to play again and I got some big surprises for You all this week too.

Games

So lets look at the games from this week:

I hope everyone had a great time Lets see some of the shout outs:
-Still not much that was talked about, You all gotta give me something!!! haha
-Breaking Brad had a shout out for scoring their two points this last game, not giving up when they were down and still fighting the whole time.
-Brent had a shout out for Smoking bunts saying how they are the defending champs for a reason but Spoiler Alert fought hard against them.
-Adam wanted to shout out to Curtis (Me) for his "exciting" pitches that he had.

Next week make sure you let us know what happened or take a video and show us so we can highlight all the great things on the field!

Bar

All I can say is WOW!!!
What an amazing time last week.  I know I had a Blast and I hope you all did too!  We had so many teams singing and overall I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.

I want to now take a quick second to talk about the bar challenge again.  Every week we will have a field and bar challenge, you complete it with your team to get points and we add up points at the end of each week and keep a tally all season.  At the end of the season the team with the most points will win the bar trophy!
How do you earn points?  Complete the field and bar challenge.  Also, take a photo showing ref love, field clean up, or having teammates in the AMP.  Also, we may give out random points just for something awesome or funny that you may do during the night.
We also didn't want to just have a winner at the end so last week we started a weekly winner.  Whichever team has the most points at the end of the night each week gets to keep the Clubwaka Turnover necklace for that week!
Check it out ain't she a beauty!

This week the necklace is going to...
KICKS AND GIGGLES!!!
Who will win it this week?!?!?
Field Challenge: Pyramid with your team photo
Bar challenge: The ol' Classic, Shirt Swap!
-Take photos with players from other teams after swapping shirts with them. Max Ten photos per team.  Bonus point if you can get all 9 teams!

-also, look at this awesome group who made it to the AMP!

Rule of the Week
Every week I'll be highlighting a rule so this week we will discuss:
OVER THROW

10.07 Base Running on Overthrows;
 a. an overthrow is a ball thrown, kicked, or deflected into foul territory while making a defensive play toward a player or base;
b. a runner may advance only one base beyond the base the runner is on or running toward when the ball travels into foul territory;
c. one base on an overthrow is a restriction on the runner – not an automatic right for the runner to advance;
d. if any fielder attempts to make an out prior to returning the ball to the pitcher, runners may commence base running.

-So this is always a confusing rule so let me try and break it down for you all a bit.
If a ball is thrown towards first base and it goes foul we all know the base coach will normally say run to second.  If this occurs, as a player you can A) Make a play at the runner, which means the runner can keep running, or B) Just throw the ball back in to the pitcher to end the play.
This is true for all runners.
If a team does not make a play after the ball has been thrown FOUL. the runner gets the next base if the team chooses not to make a play on it.
Usually a team will indicate not making a play by the player just putting his hands up.

I hope this helps.  Please ask questions more if you have some about this.

I can not wait for week 3!
