Spring Bowling - Regular Season Recap

REGULAR SEASON STANDINGS:

DOMESTIC BEER TROPHY:
1. Jank
2. Flame Throwers
3. Obviously Not Golfers
4. Spare Wars: A New Rack

6. Spare Trek: Rack of Khan
7. Livin' On A Spare

Jank has been leading the league all season, but Flame Throwers showed that they are able to hang with them. In a final week head-to-head battle, the two leading teams ended in a tie with 1279 - the highest team scores for the week! Obviously Not Golfers finished third, but their final week team total was 1274 - only five pins behind the leaders! Spare Wars: A New Rack and Splits and Giggles solidify their slot in top division remaining in the Top 7 as they have all season. Rounding out the Domestic Beer division are Spare Trek: Rack of Khan and Livin' On A Spare who each spent 5 of 6 weeks in the top.

Spare Me has been consistently in the middle of the pack, but was never able to break through to the top tier. Split Happens is the only team in the Cup Division to do so (Weeks 2 and 3). Mine's In The Gutter has many veteran bowlers, but have yet to see their name on a CLUBWAKA trophy. Another veteran team, Rumslingas has one of the top bowlers in the league - Guy Sumrell - but struggle in the standings when he's not bowling. With their full team present Week 6, they had the week's highest pin total of teams in the Cup Division. Oh Spare Me has slowly improved throughout the season and moved up a few slots in the standings. Zach Wilson of The Pin-credibles had a league high game/series (275/464), but it was not enough to overcome some inconsistent team attendance throughout the season. We Don't Give A Split has some new players and has built good team chemistry, but it hasn't translated to many pins falling.

All scores will be reset to zero to start the Playoffs (6/2). Scores from the Playoffs (6/2) and the Championship (6/9) will be combined to determine each division's winner.


PLAYOFF LANE ASSIGNMENTS: 6/2

NOTE: The lane assignments for the final Championship Week (6/9) will be assigned based on division standings from the playoffs week: 1v2, 3v4, 5v6 / 8v9, 10v11, 12v13. With an odd number of teams in each division, the remaining lane pairing will be 7v14.
