#WAKAWednesday - Week 5 Recap

Hey, shoutout to the 32 people who read last week's blog. I do it for you all. I'm back again this week, so let's take a look at the action during a wild week 5!

BOOS ON FIRST 6, RUMSPRINGA 1

Thanks to some incredible plays by both teams, this was a very tight game early on. When you have Nikki Wallace making over the shoulder catches, base runners are going to be hard to come by.

Of course, there was this from Kecia Christine.

Despite the 'Springa ladies making highlight plays, the game would not go in favor of the champs. The Boos on First defense, lead by Josh Myers who was filling in at charger for the out of town Peter Murray, locked up the Rumspringa offense. And in the 4th inning, BoF capitalized on a few drops and rallied to score 5 more runs. Much more than they'd need to secure the 6-1 win.

PBJT 6, F3B 1

Adam Gold celebrated a birthday last Wednesday and he had himself a game. Dr. Gold was ripping line drives and putting runs across the plate in a big W for PBJT.

BOOS ON FIRST 8, PUMPED UP KICKS 1

Pumped Up Kicks had several players missing on Wednesday, with just the bare minimum of 8 required to play. Despite being very short-handed, the rookie squad played their best game of the spring, allowing less than 10 runs for the first time all season.

RUMSPRINGA 5, F3B 4

This was a wild back and forth affair. Once again Rumspringa's Michael Cogan came through in the clutch, as his 2-out single up the middle drove in the tying run. Then his aggressive base running lead to the go-ahead run as 'Springa secured a big win over F3B.

REMINDER: Share your shoutouts in the Facebook group. It's really hard to recap these games without your help!

WEEK 6 PREVIEW

PUMPED UP KICKS (0-8) vs PBJT (6-1)

PBJT seized first place last week with a big win over F3B. Pumped Up Kicks looks to continue their forward momentum in the 3rd matchup with PBJT.

RUMSPRINGA (4-3-1) vs BOOS ON FIRST (3-3-2)

The hungry Boos on First squad jumped all over 'Springa to earn the victory last week. They're still looking up at the defending champs in the standings, so they will need to beat them twice in a row if they want to improve their odds at moving up the table.

RUMSPRIGNA (4-3-1) vs PUMPED UP KICKS (0-8)

The Rumspringa offense has been inconsistent from week to week. They hope to find some stability against the leagues lowest-ranked defense.

BOOS ON FIRST (3-3-2) vs F3B (5-3)

It will be really interesting to see how F3B responds after losing both games last week. They'll have a tough test with Boos On First. F3B has had the Boos number though. In their first two matchups, F3B has won by an average score of 7-2.

NEWS & NOTES

Blessed with another perfect night of weather.
