Joey Smith to take off Vicious and Delicious shirt this Spring

NORFOLK, VA - Joey Smith signed a contract to play with Vicious and Delicious for the Spring 2011 WAKA VA Peninsula kickball league on Friday.

Smith played the previous two seasons with Just For Kicks, before making the decision to jump over to the expansion VD.

"David [Dixon] had asked me to play." Smith said in explaining his reasons for joining VD, "Jimmy [Wilcox] is playing with them, and I like playing with my friends a lot."

Smith went on to mention his great respect for VD Head Coach Dave Dixon in between sets of crunches, "JFK is an awesome group. I just haven't had a chance to play with David since I started kickball."

JFK was hoping to retain Joey, as he is one of the fastest players in the division, but were unable to close the deal. Reports also indicated that the 5 O'Clockers were in the hunt as well, but Dixon beat them to the punch.

In addition to having a beautiful set of abdominal muscles, Smith has shown himself to be one of the most hardcore WAKA kickballers in the country. Joey has played in 8 seasons of WAKA kickball since 2009 and has played in every division in Hampton Roads (Peninsula, Recess, Southside, Shore, and Atlantic). His athleticism and experience will be a big boost to a squad that is shaping up like a Wentworth Trophy contender this season.
