WAKA Kicks Cancer

Our Relay for Life team is off to a GREAT start, but we could still use a lot of support. It would be awesome if we had at least 2 people from each team representing WAKA. I realized that many of you may not even know what Relay for Life is. It is a fundraising event put on by the American Cancer Society. Teams form from different organizations all around the city and raise money to fight cancer. On Friday, June 3rd the teams will fill Darling Stadium and walk the track throughout the night. You are supposed to have one person from your team walking at all times! We set up tents on the field and there are events going on throughout the night.

It is ten dollars to register for the team. Go here to register. In order to be guaranteed a shirt you will need to register by April 10th. We have already raised $1,000.00 and I know we can make it to $3,000.00!! Please let me know if you have any questions! A huge shout out to Chicken Tetrazzini's Andrea Hoffman for raising $805.00 of our team balance on her own!!!

Reminder: the team with the most people signed up by the first week of kickball will be receiving free beer and appetizers at Luckies!!
