VA Recess Regular Season Ends; Peninsula Teams Ready for the Tourney
GK crushed a home run on Sunday afternoon.
The ultra-competitive WAKA VA Recess winter league's regular season has come to a close this past weekend. Let's see how the Peninsula teams fared... NautSoJager had a tough go at it, losing to Poles N Holes 5-0 and The Situation 7-0. This put their final record at 2-9-1; 7th place in the league. They'll get another shot at The Situation (VD's Dave Dixon and Chris "Bundy" LeBlanc both play with the Sitch) this weekend in the first round of the tournament... The Emperors Club split their double header this weekend, losing a shootout to Crystal Tanner's Tiki Titan squad 7-6 and beating TundraFeet 5-1. Head Coach George "Super Sexy" Kirazidis lead the VIPs by blasting a 3 run homer in the 4th inning against TFeet. The VIPs finished 4-7-1 and earned the 6th seed for the tournament. Their first round match will be against Back in Black, which features Peninsula players Phil Nadolski and Joey Smith.

VD Picks up Another Player
Vicious and Delicious have added the very speedy Justin Schauf to a roster that is already stacked. Schauf, who is affectionately known as "The Leprechaun", is currently playing winter ball with NautSoJager and will be making his Peninsula debut this spring. Just another tough out for VD. Yikes.
