A Tribute to WAKA Wednesday

Last season, the Jagernauts' Trici Fredrick blogged about her love for WAKA Wednesdays. She forwarded me the link last night, and I wanted to pass it along. Great read.

And the result? No jokes - the kickball field is where the 20-30 year old world is making friends and quite possibly life partners. And it’s a welcomed change for most of us. Our daily routine often only introduces us to other individuals just like us - engineers, administrators, teachers. We crave exposure to fun, new folks who can broaden our horizons and our social scene.
It’s not just the singles making friends either - its double dates and man-dates and would-be-swinger couples who have got to find another pair who can compliment both partners in the relationship.  It’s happening on Wednesdays nights and Fridays nights and most other days of the week. Young, attractive, successful, and slightly competitive adults, lining the sidelines - red solo cups in hand - cheering on the next foul ball or pop fly.
She speaks the truth, people! Sign up for kickball today!

(BTW, who are the "would-be-swinger couples"?)
