Fall 2011 Schedule Released

HAMPTON, VA - On Wednesday night, the VA Peninsula Office of the Commissioner released the schedule for the Fall 2011 Kickball season. The league has expanded to 16 teams and will play every Wednesday night starting in August 24th through November 16th. The End of Season Tournament will be on Saturday, November 19th.

Let's take a look at some of the most interesting match-ups in each week.

Week 1 
Lick It Before You Kick It vs. 5 O'Clockers: Many former VIPs are on the Lick It team. Will the rivalry carry over to the new franchise?
Just For Kicks vs. Vicious & Delicious: A rematch of the Spring 2011 finals, which has gone down in history as one of the best played games in VA Peninsula.

Week 2
5 O'Clockers vs. Vicious & Delicious: The Clockers stunned the league last season when they convincingly beat VD in the final regular season game. Will lightening strike twice or will VD have it's revenge?

Week 3
Chubby Gangsters vs. Shake N Bake: This will be the first game for Jeffrey Scott, AJ Derr, and Tracy Colby against their former team since leaving this off season to start SnB.
Rumspringa vs. Jagernauts: These two teams play hard together at Luckie's. And perhaps harder against each other on the field. Last year 'Springa squeaked out a walk off win.

Week 4 
Just For Kicks vs. Rumspringa: Players from both teams play together on travel teams. 'Springa is still looking for their first win over Freed and co. though.

Week 5
Battlestar Ballsacktica vs. New Kickheads on the Block: Less than a year ago, Battlestar broke off from NKotB to set out on their own. NKotB got the win when they played for the first time in the Spring. I know the Ballsacks will be itching to even the score.

Week 6
New Kickheads on the Block vs. Kick Ass: It'll be the first meeting between KA captain Manny Anderson and his former team.
Shake N Bake vs. Lick It Before You Kick It: This should be an interesting game. Just a feeling.

Week 7
Free Ballin' vs. Battlestar Ballsacktica: MKEH, D-Bizzle, Lisa Rock, and Jon Pilz abandoned the Battlestar ship this off-season to be Free. This will be the first game between the two.
Chicken Tetrazzini vs. Jiminy Kick-It: The Angry Birds are the ones responsible for bringing JKI into the league and showing them the ropes. Will the pupil be able to beat the teacher?

Week 9
5 O'Clockers vs. New Kickheads: Two very close teams off the field battle in this late season matchup. First game for ex-NKotB founder Courtney Efird against her old teammates since rejoining the Clockers.

Week 11
5 O'Clockers vs. Burning Bridges: Lots of ties between the two squads dating back to high school. The Clockers are largely responsible for recruiting Burning into the league. In the final week, they'll get to square off.

These are just some of the many great match ups this season. There are many more that didn't even get mentioned. No doubt this is going to be a season for the ages!
