5 O'Clockers signs Ray Allen & John Laneave

The 5 O'Clockers are coming off a championship season after winning the Wentworth Trophy in a rather dominating tournament showing for the Peninsula Spring season.

"We don't need 8 innings to win."

However, after losing a few key players, the Clockers are on the search to fill some key roles to ensure they stay in champiosnhip form.

In an official press release today, representatives of Brent Wentworth and John Laneave have announced they will be accepting contracts from the 5 O'Clockers.

Do you think the Clockers over paid for this C rated bunter?
Some pundits around the league are baffled by this signing, due to their history of facing each other in the play-offs. Brent alone has faced 5OC 6 times in the playoffs, including 2 finals and 3 semi-finals appearances.

When asked why he was signing with a team he has so much history against, former Commissioner Wentworth said, "The thought of playing with a team that I've been rivals with for the past 5 years [is] kind of appealing."

When John Laneave was asked why he decided to make the move, he simply responded, "I look sexy in black."

Needless to say, the defending champs will still be a favorite to bring home that Wentworth cup.

"I'm excited to join the team. Finally a chance to win some bar buzz belts! -Brent Wentworth"
