For over 5 years, the name 5 O'Clockers has been synonymous with success in the WAKA VA Peninsula Kickball League. With 84 wins (1st All-Time), 5 Finals appearances (T-1st), and 2 Wentworth Trophies®, the Clockers have amassed a resume that will never be topped. Many wonder how Britney Travis has managed to lead the franchise to consistently compete for a championship season over season all these years.

In a word: adaptability.

And that's never been more important than in the Fall 2013 season. With both The Situation and Just For Kicks returning to the league after taking the Spring off, the Clockers roster suffered quite a bit of attrition. Among the players who moved on were Daniel Shaw, Jillian Simms, Bryan Freed, Nick Sutton, Alden Lawrence, JC Cashwell, Eric Stevens, and Nique Williams (JFK), Ant Williams, Gene Efird, Courtney Efird, and Joshua Waldrop (Sitch)... Take a look at that list. It's a veritable short list of All-Peninsula candidates. With the roster getting gutted, most captains would freak out in this position. Well, Coach Briters and Allen Walker did not panic. They PANIKED.

To fill the void left, the Clockers added several notable players from the 2011 Founders Cup World Champions, Panik Attack.  McCoy Wood, Trey McGlohn, Dan Nichols, Wes McClain, Nikki LeBlanc, Randy Devlin, Kory Moody, Jeremiah Newton, Julia Hernandez, Joey Legg, and Randi Brown are all new additions to the storied 5OC franchise. Each player brings an elite and well rounded skill set to the table, along with a killer instinct and an uncanny ability to win kickball games, no matter what the odds.

But Panik was not the only source of new players for the Clockers. Also joining the returning core of Brent Wentworth (3rd Person Alert!), Roger Jackson, Andi Torrenti, Matt Spies, Walker and Britney is former Chicken Tetrazzini co-captains Adam and Andrea Henry. The Clockers will also receive a boost from the return of Courtney Travis to the team.

The end result is a re-loaded Clocker team that is deep at every position and just as dangerous as ever. Look for them to (once again) challenge for the championship in November.

After coming 3 outs away from winning the Spring title, Allen Walker and the Clockers aim to seal the deal this Fall.
