VA Peninsula Spring 2014 Week 6 Results
On a misty Wednesday evening in Hampton, Virginia 18 kickball teams took the field. Let's run down the results.
WAKA Shame 6, Chaotic KILFs 0
The Shames played fundamental defense all game and shut out the KILFs. Ryan Greene lead the offensive attack with a 2 run triple in the 2nd.
Battlestar 7, Kick in a Box 1
Kick in a Box showed their inexperience and the high powered Battlestar offense got back on track.
#WAKAholics 4, Breaking Brad 4
Breaking Brad's Adam Nusbaum and the #WAKAholics' Will Menzies traded home runs, in a match between two evenly matched clubs.
Plan B 10, Wrecking Balls 2
Both teams agreed to forgo the traditional 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' in favor of a boat race to determine home and away. Wrecking Balls came away with the victory, but it was one of their few highlights of the night. The kickball game was all Plan B, as their well rounded attack put 10 runs on the board.
Kick Ass 3, Boom 0
Scoreless through 4 innings, Bryan "NoShoes" Moore drove in the go ahead run and Larry Liverman added a couple for insurance. In the bottom of the 5th, NoShoes made a brilliant defensive play to stop a hard grounder, throwing Josh Joyner out from his knees for the first out.
Rumspringa 8, Don't Come On My Base 1
"After finally getting to watch DCOMB play, I see that I have been underestimating them," Brad Gault said later, "They did a good job holding off Rumspringa. Unfortunatly they didn't fare so well against Geoff [Morehart]." Morehart kicked a home run, a triple, drove in 6, pitched 3 shutout innings, and recorded a strikeout.
Ballz Deep 1, PBJT 0
Ballz Deep took an early 1-0 lead in the first, but both teams locked it down on defense. In the 5th inning, PBJT's Chris Tanner came within inches of tying it up, but BD catcher Aaron Kippes made a tremendous play to record the out. See for yourself:

Just For Kicks 6, Foul Balls 1
The Foul Balls jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but they could only hope to contain the talented JFK lineup.
Ballsagna 16, NKotB 0
Depth perception is not a strength of the Kickheads outfield.
