WAKA VA Peninsula - Fall Week 3 Results

Flagrant disregard for authority.

Heads 17, Fireballs 0

The lead off kicker for the Fireballs, Adam Hartberger, started off the game with a nice single. From there it was all downhill as the Heads locked them down and poured on the runs.
Players of the Game: Dom Smith (1/1, 4 RKI, 2 SAC); Nicole Graziano (2/2, 2 R); Lenora Harper (2/2, 2 R, RKI)

Boom 6, Kick Pitches Get Money 2

Boom employed fundamental kickball offense to manufacture runs in 3 out of the 4 innings they kicked. Executing nice bunts, moving runners, and driving them in.
Players of the Game: Trey Simmons (2/2, R, RKI); Ryan Schmid (2/2, 2B, 2 RKI)

Ballsagna 7, Breaking Brad 1

After being blanked in the top of the first by the Brad defense, the middle of the Ballsagna lineup did 4 runs worth of damage to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Players of the Game: Jason Wieszek (2/2, R, 2 RKI); Holly Lenard (2/2, 2B, R, RKI)

Foul Balls 10, Recess Rejects 5

The Rejects had a hard time containing the Foul Balls' explosive offense. No Foulie did more damage than Sarah Schmitt. She drove in 2 runs in a big 2nd inning and followed it up with another RKI sacrifice in the 4th. This game was the 133rd regular season match for the Foul Balls franchise, which set the new all-time record.
Players of the Game: Sarah Schmitt (1/1, R, 3 RKI, SAC); Steven Andrzejewski (2/2, 2B, 2 RKI); Mark Flores (2/2, 2B, 2 R, RKI); Anthony Leevy (2/3, HR, 2 R, 2 RKI)

Hammers 9, Rumspringa 1

This game was a historic milestone for Rumspringa, 100 WAKA VA Peninsula regular season games. And for 3 innings it looked like they were gunning for an upset over the Hammers, leading 1-0. But it was not to be. In the 4th inning, the Hammers took advantage of some defensive miscues and poured in 9 runs. To watch the game, cut down to 9 minutes, check out Daniel Shaw's YouTube page.
Players of the Game: Guy Sumrell (2/2, R); Brian Neal (2/2, R, RKI); Jen Miller (2/2, 3 RKI)

Interventions 4, KILFS2 4

The KILFs jumped out to an early 4-0 lead thanks to a big first inning home run by Todd Buffington. The Interventions settled down and kept chipping away at the deficit. Bez Kargar kicked a double with 2 outs in the 5th inning to drive in JC Cashwell, the tying run.
Players of the Game: Todd Buffington (1/2, HR, R, 2 RKI); Bez Kargar (2/2, 2B, RKI); JC Cashwell (1/1, R, RKI, SAC)

HotDogs & Tacos 5, Resting Pitch Face 3

Devin Raines' RKI single in the 5th broke a 2-2 tie. Mike Kern drove in a few more insurance runs with a two out triple. They would be needed insurance, as RPF rallied in the 5th, but fell just short.
Players of the Game: Mike Kern (1/2, 3B, 2 RKI); Devin Raines (1/2, R, RKI); Adam Kutsch (1/1, 3B, R)

The Situation 14, Chaotic KILFs 0

I'd say that The Situation bounced back from week 2's tie against the Heads pretty good.
Players of the Game: Gene Efird (3/3, 2B, 3B, HR, 2 R, 6 RKI); Gene Efird (seriously, look at that line again. He needs to be mentioned twice)

Sneak Attack 17, Kick in a Box 0

Every single member of the Attack reached base successfully in the rout.
Players of the Game: Every player on Sneak Attack (28/40, 6 2B, 3B, HR, 17 R, 2 SAC); Kippy Kyle (2/2)
