What an awesome night of kickball! I don't know about all 350 of you, but I had a blast.
Theme weeks are like the best ever. How often do you get the chance to stress over coordinating matching outfits/accessories for 20 people on a recess sport's team for the chance to win free beer??
Twice per season my friend.
So last week was "Drink Up" for VA Peninsula, and I have to say, awesome job everyone! Drinks are a vital part of our elite kickball society. 3U3D members always have a beer during podcasts, we hydrate with "water" at the fields, and yours truly is partial to Gin & Tonics.
....and then I start watching 19 Kids and Counting and get distracted....
So now back to drinking....let's take a look ...omg, I just watched 19K&C again for like 20 min...at the teams who dressed up, and which team will be going for the gold(-en belt)!
Hammers - Milk - Ok ok, I'll give it to y'all. You're quick witted, can think on your feet in a moment's notice, and you got your whole team to participate.... You even got someone to vote for you for most creative!
Fireballs - Fireball Whiskey - I know how much y'all thought about this and the outcome was great! Way to use your smarts and do the same theme as your name, your jerseys are going to look hot! And let's take a look at your applique! That looks like it came on the shirt!
Ballsagna - Black Russians - I'm sorry, I know I had to ask what you were on facebook...I thought you had changed the NKKO (North Korea Kickball Open) to the SUKO (Soviet Union Kickball Open), but we all know I thought that it was real, so yea......damn you 19K&C...
Interventions - WAKA Bombs - I loved this concept, but understand the trials and tribulations of organizing a team of 20 teachers, philanthropists, business owners, nurses, students, and shipyarders into a cohesive theme. Shit's hard. But way to go guys, Stephanie Romett and I glitter bombed the shit out of your shirts and you rocked them! Side note, I don't think I will ever be on a team who can take an organized picture...you would think it would be easier...
Rumspringa - Smirnoff Ice - I have to say, I wish I had made it to the earlier games to see this. I love that you all got into it and got your team to dress up! I think you even iced someone on the field if I'm not mistaken! However, the reason you don't win the bar belt this week is because I didn't even know you had participated in the theme because I don't think I saw anyone at the bar..but I know I know, Troy Southall keeps reminding me that y'all are old. sure.Recess Rejects - Jungle Juice - This was by far the best. I am a huge fan of various jungle juices, so right there you get a million #BarBuzz points. But then your shirts complimented your theme, and you had safari stuff, leis, monkeys, safari hats, and Tucker had some weird arm bands. Y'all got your team coordinated and provided enough theme coverage for the whole gang! Congrats, can't wait to pass the belt off to such an awesome team!
